Registration Terms
Last updated: 8 November 2026
Welcome to Alacri Works.
We develop applications, themes and other resources for Invision Community. This website is where we release our work, provide support, share development news and discuss ideas with the people who use our software.
You don't have to purchase anything to become a member. Whether you're a customer, another developer or simply interested in what we're working on, you're welcome to join.
There are a few rules we ask everyone to follow. Please take the time to read them before registering, as they apply to all members.
1. Registering an Account
You'll need to provide a valid email address when creating your account. We use this to send important information, including account notifications, purchase confirmations and replies to support requests.
Please keep your login details secure. Your account is intended for your own use and mustn't be sold, transferred or shared with somebody else without our permission.
We don't allow additional accounts created to get around restrictions, take advantage of offers dishonestly or impersonate another person.
If we need to confirm ownership of an account or purchase, we may ask for further verification before providing access to private information or purchased resources.
Should you suspect somebody has accessed your account without permission, please contact us.
2. Taking Part in the Community
We encourage discussion, questions and feedback. Not everyone will agree with our development decisions, and that's fine. You're welcome to criticise our work, suggest improvements or explain why something hasn't met your expectations.
What we ask is that you treat other members and staff with respect.
Harassment, threats, discriminatory abuse and personal attacks aren't acceptable. Neither is deliberately disrupting discussions or repeatedly posting material intended to provoke arguments.
Please don't use the community to distribute spam, advertise unrelated services without permission or share files and other material you have no right to distribute.
Respect other people's privacy as well. Information shared privately with you shouldn't be published without the person's permission.
If a discussion becomes disruptive, our moderators may intervene. This could involve moving posts, removing inappropriate material or asking those involved to change their behaviour.
Genuine criticism, negative reviews and reasonable complaints won't be treated as rule-breaking simply because they're unfavourable to Alacri Works.
3. Software and Licensing
Our applications, themes and other downloadable resources are provided under software licences.
Purchasing a resource gives you permission to use it according to the licence supplied with that product. It doesn't transfer ownership of the software, its copyright or any other intellectual property rights to you.
Paid resources mustn't be redistributed, resold or uploaded to other websites without authorisation. Sharing private download access or licence credentials with unauthorised people is also prohibited.
Licensing arrangements can differ between products. Some resources may permit installation across several websites, while others have different conditions. The applicable product information and licence determine what you're entitled to use.
You're responsible for checking the advertised compatibility requirements before installing or purchasing software.
If you're uncertain whether an application will work with your version of Invision Community, please ask before ordering. We're happy to clarify what a resource supports.
Modifications may be permitted under the relevant licence, but problems introduced by changes made to the original software aren't automatically covered by our standard support.
4. Purchases and Refunds
We put considerable time into developing, testing and maintaining our resources, and we want customers to understand what they're purchasing.
Before ordering, please check the product description, supported versions, requirements and any renewal conditions.
Our general policy is not to offer discretionary change-of-mind refunds for digital software once it has been supplied and the legal requirements for losing the cancellation right have been met.
For immediate digital delivery, those requirements include the customer's express consent, acknowledgement that their cancellation right will be lost when supply begins, and the required contract confirmation.
A customer deciding they no longer need a working resource is different from receiving software that is faulty or doesn't match its description.
If something you've purchased isn't working properly, please contact us. We ask customers to provide enough information for us to investigate and give us a reasonable opportunity to put things right.
Some faults can be corrected quickly, while others require more investigation. Problems involving particular server configurations, compatibility issues or interactions with third-party applications can be especially difficult to reproduce.
Where a significant fault is confirmed and a correction is taking longer than expected, we may offer partial account credit as a goodwill gesture while we continue working on the issue.
Any such credit is considered individually. It isn't an automatic entitlement, nor does it replace a remedy required by law.
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. Where applicable law entitles you to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, we'll honour those rights. This includes the requirement to provide applicable remedies within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience.
Our separate Terms of Sale provide the full conditions relating to purchases, cancellations and refunds.
5. Technical Support
If you experience a problem with one of our resources, please use the Alacri Works Support Centre.
When reporting an issue, try to include the product name, installed version, your Invision Community version and a description of what happened.
Relevant error messages, screenshots and steps to reproduce the problem can help us identify the cause.
Please don't post passwords, database credentials or other sensitive access information in public discussions.
We'll investigate problems relating to our products according to the support available for the resource concerned.
Purchasing an application doesn't automatically include unrelated server administration, fixing third-party software or developing additional features.
If we believe a problem originates outside our software, we'll explain what we've found and, where possible, suggest what you could check next.
We also welcome feature requests and suggestions for future updates. Customer feedback helps us decide where development effort is best spent, although we can't promise to implement every suggestion.
Any support obligations included in a purchase, along with applicable statutory rights, will continue to apply.
6. Security and Acceptable Use
Please don't attempt to access accounts, administrative areas, files or systems that you haven't been authorised to use.
Deliberately interfering with the website, bypassing security measures, distributing malicious software or attempting to obtain somebody else's information is prohibited.
The same applies to attempts to circumvent software licensing or download restrictions unlawfully.
If you discover a possible security vulnerability, report it privately through our support facilities rather than exploiting it or publishing information that could put others at risk.
We appreciate responsible reports that help us identify and address security problems.
7. Content You Share
You're responsible for material you post or upload, including forum messages, images, attachments and code.
Please make sure you own the material or have permission to share it.
Anything you create remains yours. By contributing content to Alacri Works, you give us permission to store, reproduce and display it where reasonably necessary to operate the community and its features.
This doesn't give us ownership of your independent projects or software simply because you've discussed them on our website.
We may remove content that breaches these rules, infringes another person's rights or creates a genuine legal, privacy or security concern.
Bear in mind that anything posted publicly may be visible to visitors and search engines. Avoid sharing information you wouldn't want publicly available.
8. Moderation and Account Restrictions
We'd rather resolve disagreements through discussion than issue warnings unnecessarily.
An honest mistake or difference of opinion isn't automatically grounds for disciplinary action. Where appropriate, we'll explain the issue and give the member an opportunity to put things right.
Repeatedly ignoring the rules may result in warnings, content removal, temporary restrictions or account suspension.
Serious misconduct, including fraud, deliberate security abuse, harassment or threatening behaviour, may justify immediate restrictions or a permanent ban.
We'll consider the circumstances when deciding what action is appropriate.
If you believe a moderation decision was unfair, you can contact us through the Support Centre and ask for it to be reviewed.
Restricting access to community features doesn't automatically cancel legitimate purchase entitlements or remove rights protected by law.
9. Privacy and Personal Information
We collect and use information needed to operate Alacri Works, maintain accounts, process purchases, verify software licences and respond to support requests.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it's used, how long it may be retained and what rights you have.
Our separate Cookies Policy explains the use of cookies and similar technologies.
Registering an account doesn't automatically mean you've agreed to receive optional marketing communications.
Please respect the privacy of other members and avoid publishing personal information without permission.
10. Changes to These Rules
Alacri Works will continue to develop, and there may be occasions when these rules need updating.
Changes could reflect new services, improvements to how the website operates, security requirements or changes in the law.
Where an update materially affects members' rights or obligations, we'll provide appropriate notice.
Changes to these rules won't remove existing contractual or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be altered.
The latest version will be available through our website.
11. Questions and Complaints
If you're having trouble with your account, are concerned about something happening in the community or need help with a purchase, please get in touch.
You can contact us through the Alacri Works Support Centre.
We'd prefer to have the opportunity to investigate a genuine concern rather than leave somebody without an answer.
12. Agreement to These Rules
By completing your registration, you confirm that you've read and agree to these Registration Terms & Rules.
Purchases, software licences and paid development services may have additional conditions. These will be provided separately where relevant.
Nothing in these rules excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
We appreciate everyone who chooses to support our work, whether that's through purchasing an application, reporting a bug, suggesting an improvement or simply taking part in the community.
Thank you for joining Alacri Works.
